  Joshua Aaron Levinson autobiography. MS, p. iv: "our family consisted of father, Mother, Sister Braini, brothers Isaac Solomon, Samuel, I, and Jehuda the youngest." / MS, p. 8: "My sister, a beautiful girl of 18 years was engaged. . . . They were married in December, and in April. . ." (the story of her death follows). JAL has just started cheder at this point, and has just related an incident "on my sixth year"; so he is five or six years old, the marriage would be in December of 1863 or -64, and Brayna's death would be in April of 1864 or -65. He must be in error about her age, but that is not surprising.
